Our Vision and Mission
Philosophy
Current assessment systems are far too rigid: they either measure student abilities at too gross of a level to provide actionable information (e.g., a single math score does not help point to what a student should study) or are not reliable enough for educational decision making. Moreover, interim and summative assessments are often divorced from educational progress students make throughout the school year.
Technology
IAS is developing a line of products that seek to solve both problems: (1) assessments that provide reliable and actionable information along with (2) data information systems that harmonize assessment data with student progress data, providing a snapshot of what students know and have yet to learn on a daily basis.
Services
IAS provides educational assessment services including assessment content development, psychometric consulting, and data analytics.
